Capping Ceremony

To be capped by the Toyota Cheetahs is a huge honour and to achieve this a player has to play in six consecutive games for the Toyota Cheetahs or alternatively play in 10 games in total for the Toyota Cheetahs. 

Thirteen players were capped on Saturday after the match in the Cheetah Den by Coach Hawies Fourie.

Ockie Barnard - 9, Marne Coetzee – 10, Daniel Kasende -11, Brandon Thomson – 10, Rewan Kruger -11, Cameron Dawson – 23, Gideon van der Merwe – 13, Schalk Ferreira – 13, Mihlali Mosi – 18, Cohen Jasper – 16, Siya Masuku – 20, Alulutho Tshakweni – 21, David Brits – 21 and Frans Steyn – 23.


Ruan Pienaar received his 50th cap and Aranos Coetzee his 100th cap, which is a massive honour for a player.
